February 2nd - 7am Thanks to Bill Murray and the "Groundhog Day" movie, every day is Groundhog Day in Woodstock! Come to the beautiful Woodstock Square and help us celebrate the anniversary of this family-favorite cinematic classic! Each year, Woodstock celebrates the movie, which was filmed here in 1992, with a chili cook-off, breakfast, dances, special showings of the movie, and a tour of filming sites, leading up to, of course, Woodstock Willie's prognostication. The McHenry County Fair is fun for the whole family! At the fair you can see 4-H, Open and Junior Open livestock and non-livestock shows, educational displays revolving around conservation and agriculture, various vendors from different businesses and organizations across the county, a carnival, and a variety of ground and grandstand entertainment.

Come to the Park in the Square to enjoy movies under the stars as Kim Keefe's Team Open Doors in Sponsoring Pixar's - UP. 

Bring your family and friends (and snacks if you like) and come on to these fun events. The movies will be shown twice a month on Thursdays and remain free of charge. The movies will begin at close to 8:30pm as darkness will allow. We hope to see you there!

Attendees of this annual event will experience some of the most unique and creative gardens across Crystal Lake, Woodstock, Harvard and McHenry. Guests are invited to tour all gardens at their own pace. Master gardeners will be on-site at each garden to answer questions and offer educational materials. Visit mchenry.edu/gardenwalk to get tickets. Admission is $20. 

July 4th:

The skies over Emricson Park will be filled with fireworks July 4, starting at dusk. Walk-ins can enter through south Street and Jackson Street entrances. Donation will be collected to help cover the cost of fireworks. Concessionaires will offer snacks and beverages for sale. Woodstock is known for having one of the best Fourth of July fireworks displays in northern Illinois so be sure to come for the fun and festivities! Parking in the park will be available using South Street entrance. There is a fee to park. 

The Woodstock Farmer's Market has vendors surrounding the Historic Woodstock Square on all four sides as well as throughout the park in the center of the Square. The outdoor market begins on Saturday April 29th and is open every Tuesday and Saturday from there from 8am to 1pm. For more information click below for more info.
